The Turkish Association for Infant Mental Health’s goals include the following:
- To protect the mental health of parents and infants starting from the prenatal period
- To ensure that parents and caregivers are informed about the mental health of an infant and the developmental considerations of this period
- To share evidence-based, scientific information on parenting skills with the community
- To provide training for specialists working in the field of infant mental health and to create opportunities to meet on a common ground
- Raising awareness about risk and protective factors in infant development and supporting preventive measures
- To support educational and scientific studies in the early diagnosis and treatment of developmental/mental disorders in infants
- To work in line with the Convention on the Rights of Children and Infants.
