Turkish Association for Infant Mental Health is a non-profit organization for raising awareness about maternity, infancy and early childhood (0-3) years. The Turkish Association for Infant Mental Health works together with families and experts to support the mental, psychological and physical development of infants.

Why is Infant Mental Health Important?

Psychosocial problems of infants, children and families are an important public health and mental health problem today. It is known that many experiences in infancy and early childhood affect mental, physical, social and cognitive development in later ages. Therefore, the protection of mental health and development in infancy and early childhood is considered the key to the prevention of lifelong mental disorders.
